Art and Music


Maharishi Invincibility School of Management will offer extra-curricular art and music activities. These programmes are designed to allow each students to gain an overall appreciation for art and music and delve more deeply into that area which is of greatest interest. Parents will pay an additional fee to cover these costs. Special dedicated music rooms with soundproofing have been set up on the campus.


Maharishi Invincibility School of Management will offer music classes and activities in various different areas:

The School Choir

Maharishi Invincibility School of Management Choir exists to allow students to celebrate through the discipline of making beauty through music, and to develop their voices as musical instruments. A series of festivals and concerts will be arranged. In addition, the students will be encouraged to enter local, regional, and national competitions. These programmes are designed to allow students to expand their musical abilities and perform in front of large audiences.

The Arts

Each student will be encouraged to take classes in the Arts to be chosen from:

  • Pen and Ink Drawing
  • Sculpture
  • Photography 1 and 2
  • Film Making
  • Painting
  • Drama 1 and 2

Maharishi Academy will help the students to stage art exhibitions and theater arts presentations, including student-produced one-act plays and short films.

There will be studios for art, photography, etc., and the faculty will be available in the evenings and weekends for those students who wish go more deeply into their particular art form.

In addition, Maharishi Invincibility School of Management encourages its students to participate in competitions outside of school and will support its students to enter interscholastic competitions and other local and provincial competitions.

Johannesburg Enjoys Art and Music

Johannesburg’s surrounding areas are rich in music and art culture, particularly the Newtown precinct, with the Market Theatre. Expressions of life through all art forms will be encouraged, both within the school, and will include outings to enjoy the pulse of South African theatre, poetry, hip hop, kwaito, and African traditional art forms.
